WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

NEW FROM BRENT JOHNSON! The Tyranny of Debt!

by Brent Johnson

The united States of America today has become a society in which the general populace is taught to live life in debt.  You are told to buy what you cannot afford and thereby possess things that make your life seem better.  You do not need any money to get what you want because banks will loan you whatever you need.  The American culture has become one in which living in debt is expected and borrowing money is the norm.

If you turn on television these days, you will see endless commercials encouraging you to play games in order to “win” money; you are told that you can get the money by signing up with PayPal or some other online service.

What you are not told is that by playing these games and applying for this “free cash”, you are providing details about your bank accounts and giving permission for strangers to access those accounts.  You are not told that the cost of accessing this “free cash” is your privacy and liberty.

You are encouraged to buy a house and land by going into debt for 30 years to a financial institution that will not hesitate to take your property (it is not really yours, after all) when you are unable to make the payments on your mortgage.

You are trained to buy a brand new car that you cannot afford by financing it, which means the vehicle is not really yours; you do not get title to the vehicle until and unless you pay off the loan.  However, you are not encouraged to do that; rather, you are told to get a better vehicle that you also cannot afford, by refinancing the vehicle and trading it for another vehicle that is also financed; thereby increasing your debt and the amount of time you require to pay the debt.

Most Americans today live in eternal debt.  The so-called “federal debt” is a macrocosm of the way individuals are taught to live.

This allows you to have whatever you want, regardless of whether or not you can afford it.  It allows you to live the lifestyle you want, to “keep up with the Jones’” by having a better car than they do or a nicer house than they have.

On the surface, this may seem like a great situation.  You get to live the life you want without paying for it.  Who wouldn’t want to live in a country where you could do that?

The problem is that this way of living means you own nothing.  Everything you have can be taken away because none of it belongs to you.  The debt you have accumulated represents a millstone around your neck, and that burden only increases as you borrow greater amounts of money in order to possess more things that you cannot afford to buy.

This situation continues until you have amassed so much debt that the weight of it causes you to collapse.  Many people have died because they could not sustain the stress of living in debt, and that debt pressured them until they could not take it anymore, resulting in strokes, heart attacks, and even suicide.

If you ask an accountant (if honest), he or she will tell you that the debt you hold represents a liability.  You do not have any assets; you only have liabilities.  Liabilities are what the government uses to ensure that you do what you are told to do.  As a result, you must obey the government and the corporations by living the way you have been trained to live.

Nothing prevents the government from establishing rules and regulations, which if you do not obey them, allow for the confiscation of the assets you possess but do not own.

This may be acceptable to most people.  Fortunately, there are still people who value personal liberty, individual rights, and the true American Dream more than the plastic reality of having things that you do not own so that you “look good”, even though you have not earned any of what you possess.  The property you possess does not belong to you. You do not own it.

The united States of America was founded on the principle that you are endowed by your Creator (if you were not created by the government then you did not get your Rights from the government) with certain unalienable Rights, and that the sole purpose of the government is to Secure those Rights and do nothing else.

That is God’s Gift to you, and most of you are throwing it away so that you can carry debt and possess things that you could not afford to own.

What a sad way to live.

However, those who value the Gifts of God and the tremendous opportunities provided by the united States of America, as expressed in its Founding Document, the Declaration of Independence, have the capacity to break out of this propaganda-inspired life of debt and truly enjoy the Independence that is the greatest gift of this country to its people.

I have never owned a house.  I have owned land but never a house.  Why?  Because I could never afford to pay for a house.  I am unwilling to borrow money in order to buy something that I cannot afford; therefore I do not go into debt.  I would rather rent, or live in a trailer or RV.  I would prefer to own a cheap old car than travel around in a brand-new car that belongs to a financial corporation that can take it away from me if it wishes.

Because I do not carry a lot of debt, I have the freedom to use the money I earn as I see fit, rather than spending it all paying back loans that will never be fully repaid.  I have traded debt for freedom; my liberty and privacy are far more valuable to me than buying things I cannot afford in order to look good.

I encourage you who value personal freedom and individual liberty to reject the propaganda programming - from television, media, government programs, etc. - that promotes the idea of living in debt.  Live the American Dream, which is to own your property. Ownership means the property belongs to you and nobody can take it from you.

Liberty is priceless; it is not worth surrendering it for appearances.  I believe it is not worth waiving your God-given Rights for anything, certainly not in exchange for great amounts of debt.

This is the choice that each of you must make.  What is your personal freedom worth to you?  Are you willing to stop living beyond your means so that you may enjoy the Individual Liberty that is your birthright; or will you continue to follow what vested interested parties (government, corporations, etc.) encourage you to do until you die penniless, without any legacy to leave to your posterity?

The choice is yours.  It is an important choice.  How you live from this moment on will determine the kind of individual you are and will set an example for your children and their children, to the betterment of them all.

Living in debt is the same as living in tyranny, because you have no control over your own life.  Living in debt is slavery.  You can live in tyranny as a slave, or you can live as a free man or free woman.  You cannot do both.  Display your values.  What are you willing to do to protect and preserve your individual rights to liberty?

How you answer that question determines the kind of life you live.
