SAN FRANCISCO, Kalifornia (PNN) - April 2, 2020 - My brother wrote today about the situation in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The corona virus scare is just as phony there as in New York.
He wrote:
“Where my girlfriend works - Mills-Peninsula Hospital - they have 300 beds, only slightly over 100 are being used, there are only eight COVID-19 patients. With how flawed the testing is, it’s probably even fewer than that.
“At Seton Hospital where her aunt works, they have 357 beds, only 55 are being used. I am not sure how many are COVID-19 but she thinks that her aunt said none.
“At Stanford Hospital, where I work, I am not sure how many COVID-19 patients there are, but there is plenty of capacity still.
“All these hospitals have been putting off elective/non-essential surgeries to free up space for an anticipated surge of COVID-19 patients, which obviously hasn’t happened yet, so they’re losing money, and Mills-Peninsula was even talking about furloughing employees last week. My girlfriend was just told Monday to expect a surge over the next two weeks, but she was also told that two weeks ago.
“It has been over two months since the first case here in the Bay Area. We had tons of international and domestic visitors here due to Silicon Valley and San Francisco. The way the media plays this up you would expect us to be drowning in COVID-19 by now, but we aren’t.”
